As members of the Stanford LEAD Me2We community, we’ve always been driven by a desire to make a positive impact on the world. We’ve seen firsthand the power of collective action and the transformative potential of leadership.
It was during one of our many discussions about global challenges that the idea of the Million Tree Initiative was born. We realized that we had a unique opportunity to leverage our vast network of talented and passionate individuals to address a pressing environmental issue.
Our planet, a verdant oasis, is under siege. Deforestation, an insidious threat, is ravaging our forests at an alarming rate. These vital ecosystems, the lungs of our Earth, are being sacrificed for short-sighted gains.
The consequences of this ecological catastrophe are far-reaching. Climate change, biodiversity loss, and soil erosion are just a few of the devastating impacts. Each tree felled is a blow to our planet’s health, a threat to our future.
Planting a million trees isn’t just a number; it’s a symbol of hope. It’s a testament to our commitment to sustainability and our belief in a brighter future. This initiative is deeply meaningful to us because it allows us to:

1- Every Tree Counts:
Plant Your Own Tree: Whether it’s in your backyard, a local park, or a community garden, every tree counts. Register your tree on our platform to be part of our global forest. Register here. 2- Donate to Plant a Tree:
Your Contribution, Our Action: Donate any amount, big or small, to support our tree-planting initiatives. Your donation will be used to fund upcoming plantation drives and will be tax-exempt. 3- Plant with our partner:
Plant a Tree Through Evertreen: Donate a tree through our partner, Evertreen, to support reforestation efforts in critical areas like Madagascar. We’ve already established the LeadMe2We Forest in Vohidahy, Madagascar, thanks to the generosity of our community.
